Being green is also how actress Brenda Song and her family celebrate the holidays.

The 24-year-old actress caught up with JJJ recently and told us all about her love for the written word.
“I’m someone who, every time I open a book, will be either crying or laughing. Sometimes my mom will come in and ask me if I’m okay, because I was a psychology major in college and concentrated in criminal psychology so I would read a lot about these crazy criminals and everything. I’d run downstairs and I’d run into my mom and she’d automatically know what I’d be reading,” she shared.
Brenda continued, “I think for books — like we’d have a conversation or I’d be having a hard day and you can just escape my own reality for 15 minutes just by reading a chapter.”

"Pixie Hollow Games," a new animated special featuring the voices of Disney Channel stars Brenda Song ("The Suite Life on Deck"), Jason Dolley ("Good Luck Charlie"), Tiffany Thornton ("So Random!") and Zendaya ("Shake It Up") will premiere SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 19 (7:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel. Part of the hugely successful Disney Fairies franchise, the adventure-filled story follows spirited newcomer Chloe as she, along with Tinker Bell and the fairies, and sparrow men of Pixie Hollow, gather for the legendary Pixie Hollow Games, a tournament-style sporting event where Chloe is determined to inspire her trailing team to believe in themselves and bring home the championship.
Multi-talented actress and singer, Zendaya, from Disney Channel's hit series "Shake It Up," performs the animated special's theme song "Dig Down Deeper," which will premiere during the Radio Disney Top 30 Countdown on SATURDAY, OCTOBER 29 and will be available as a digital single on iTunes beginning Tuesday, November 8. Disney Channel will present the world premiere for the music video on SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 5. The music video is directed by Brandon Dickerson (director of "Lemonade Mouth" cast's, "Somebody" and "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam" cast's, "It's On" music videos) and choreographed by Rosero McCoy ("Shake It Up," "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam").

The 23-year-old actress was joined by Pixie Hollow Games costars Jason Dolley and Tiffany Thornton at the photo opp.
While we get all our interviews from the expo together, Brenda did tell us a cool fact about her fashion — her mom picks all her outfits!
“I couldn’t tell you who or what I’m wearing. My mom actually picks out all my outfits for events. She does such a great job,” Brenda shared with us.

Brenda Song may be lending her voice to the new “Pixie Hollow Games” movie, but we know and love her best as London Tipton from the “Suite Life.”
We recently chatted with Brenda and now that “Suite Life” is over, we had to ask her what her all-time favorite memory from the show was.
“Probably one of my favorites,” she told us, “from the very first season we shot through Christmas. We had a huge Christmas tree. We shot the Christmas episode through Christmas…we had the big Christmas tree in the middle of the Tipton lobby and we did a Secret Santa.”
And since Brenda is a veteran on the Disney Channel, we asked her to share some advice for the fresh faces that are taking over.

In the Pixie Hollow Games, all of the fairies and sparrow men in Pixie Hollow gather for the legendary three-day Olympic-style competition event, which culminates with one fairy guild being named champion of the Games.
Determined not to let the garden fairies’ unfortunate history of not performing well at the Games get to her, newcomer Chloe (Song) works to convince all of the other garden fairies, which includes her teammate Rosetta (Megan Hilty) and the pragmatic Fern (Zendaya), that they must work together and dig down deep to break their well-known losing streak.
Along the way, the reigning champion storm fairies, including Rumble (Jason Dolley) and Glimmer (Tiffany Thornton), continue to intimidate and outperform their competitors, but with Chloe’s spirited determination, they are forced to work harder than ever before.
Brenda, Jason, Zendaya and Tiffany will also be at the D23 Expo on Friday to promote the games!

Get ready for a new special featuring Tinker Bell and her other Fairy friends as Disney Channel premieres Pixie Hollow Games this fall. The special, which is part of the successful Disney Fairies franchise, features Brenda Song, Jason Dolley, Tiffany Thornton and Zendaya as the new fairies and sparrow man who join Tinker Bell and her fairy friends to participate in the legendary Pixie Hollow Games. Megan Hilty also stars as Rosetta.
The special is executive-produced by Academy Award winner John Lasseter and directed by Disney veteran Bradley Raymond (The Lion King 1 ½, Tinker Bell, Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue). The half-hour adventure finds the Pixie Hollow residents preparing for the three-day Olympic-style competition event, which culminates with one fairy guild being named champion of the Games. Determined not to let the garden fairies’ history of not performing well at the Games get to her, newcomer Chloe (voiced by Brenda Song) works to convince all of the other garden fairies that they must work together and dig down deep to break their well-known losing streak.

Disney also plans to promote the special at this week’s big D23 fan expo in Anaheim. Tinker Bell will be joined by Brenda Song, Jason Dolley and Tiffany Thornton at the Walt Disney Studios Animation Pavilion on Friday, August 19 at 4 p.m. Director Raymond and producer Helen Kalafatic will meet fans and talk about the new animated special on the expo floor in front of the Disney Fairies booth.
In addition, the virtual world of Pixie Hollow (pixiehollow.go.com) will host and celebrate the Games with the “How Will You Train?” art contest. The contest, which runs from August 16 to September 6, invites Disney Fairies fans to draw and share how they will train for the Pixie Hollow Games, with the grand prize winner receiving the ultimate viewing party kit (which includes a TV, Blu-ray/DVD player, a Tinker Bell DVD collection, party supplies, and more) To enter the art contest, fans can submit their art either by U.S. Mail or by Internet via http://pixiehollow.go.com/contests_home.html.

Brenda Song keeps it cool in a flowy dress as she heads to a meeting in Beverly Hills on Wednesday afternoon (July 7).
JJJ caught up with the 23-year-old actress in a top secret location earlier this week and got the deets on her summer menu! “My younger brother wants to be a chef and he’s an amazing cook, so we’re always coming up with new recipes. My thing is taking things that I like and trying to make them into a healthy version. Right now, I’m working on a healthy smashed sweet potato and that’s my favorite right now,” she dished to us.
Brenda added, “I think I’ve made it every way possible but I just made a shephard’s pie which is awesome. I love to eat and I love my hearty foods. So I’m trying to make the potato and pie into something summery and light.”

Maya (Zoey Deutch) accepts a Peace Corps assignment in Africa and breaks up with Zack, while Cody and Bailey are anxious about their relationship surviving through college. Hollywood fashionistas came out to support The Lakers' Youth Foundation and STAPLES Center Foundation at the America Express presents The Shoppes at The Palazzo Jimmy Choo Shopping Event. Vanessa Hudgens, Josh Hutchinson and Brenda Song all gathered in the Chairman's Room and scoped out the latest Jimmy Choo shoes, handbags, and clutches and hottest apparel from American retail giant Spiegel. The ladies also tried on everything that sparkled with Simon G Jewelry on hand to outfit them in anything they needed from earrings to bangles. It was a father/daughter date for Brenda Song who brought her father along for a fun day of shopping and going to the game. Brenda, who just celebrated her birthday in Vegas, tried on a few pairs of shoes by Jimmy Choo and Vanessa bought a snakeskin bag to add to her collection. "The snakeskin one is my favorite; it's so gorgeous!" mentioned Vanessa as she showed it to friends.

Brenda Song parties it up in Las Vegas as she celebrates her birthday with a group of girlfriends over the weekend.
The 22-year-old actress wore a cute OP dress over her OP swimsuit and soaked up the sun before dinner at Tao restaurant and dancing at the nightclub.
Brenda also got an OP birthday cake with a mini-version of herself on top of the cake! How cute is that?

Brenda Song hides under an umbrella held by a friend as they head into a hair salon in Beverly Hills.
We recently had the chance to chat with the 22-year-old actress and found out that she misses Hotel Tipton!
Brenda shared, “Don’t get me wrong, I love the ship and the deck, but that hotel set…I miss it! That lobby was so comfy and cozy. We would literally use that as a living room of sorts.”
She continued, “If you remember, there were two elevators. One was for London and her penthouse and then the other for the boys. We called that one the stinky elevator. But when they tore it down, they gave me a panel of the elevator. There were so many memories on that set.”

That's exactly what happened when Kids' Choice Award nominee Brenda Song was on set of The Suite Life of Zack and Cody back in the day with Ashley Tisdale! The two formed a friendship that could not be broken up just by Ashley no longer starring on the show! They've kept in touch and Brenda has even called Ashley her sister! Hopefully someday these celeb besties will reunite on the screen!

Preview images of Brenda Song's upcoming romantic comedy film, First Kiss, were recently disclosed. The images were released on the film's official Facebook page on March 14, 2011. Song's onscreen leading man is Joe Mazzello, the star of the blockbuster, Jurassic Park and The Pacific. Mazzello also appeared in the critically acclaimed blockbuster, The Social Network, with Song.
First Kiss centers Samantha (Song) and Derek (Joe Mazzello) as they encounter all forms of obstacles while trying for their first kiss. The film is currently in production and is scheduled to be released at film festivals.
